Christianity 'close to extinction' in Middle East - Telegraph:

"Christians are targeted more than any other body of believers.” This has been in the works for a long time. Within my lifetime, Bethlehem was 70 percent Christian. Now it might still be 10 percent, but almost certainly is not that high.

And persecution of Christians because of their faith is rising across much of the rest of the world.
